A key aspect of our strategy was creating mobile spaces in which politicians could work, meet or conduct other necessary activities whilst travelling between cities or towns. These spaces would take the form of carriages on the High Speed Train. In order to be able to progress with both the station and the carriage design, it was imperative to decide the size of the train carriages. This was done as a group and has been diagrammed below.
The dimensions that were decided on was 3x30m carriages, and that each train would generally consist of 10 carriages, which, along with front and rear motors and train cockpits, made the train around 330m in length.
