Further Development

It didn't take long for me to realise that the current building structure I had, with the entrance and ticket sales area being separated from the departure lounge and train platforms, was not the most ideal layout for my building. It created the need for an underground light rail service which was impractical and would have added a lot of unnecessary cost to the project if it were ever to be built. It also increased the amount of time required to get to the platforms and would require even larger amounts of earth to be moved. With this in mind, I sought to condense my building into a single entity, with the difference between the spaces highlighted vertically rather than by spacing them out along the entire length of Federation Mall and beneath Parliament House itself. Initial sketches into what the form of the new building may take can be seen below.
