Several problems were realised with this initial sketchup model, most of them aesthetic. I removed the fins from the side of federation mall and replaced them with a pool which ran the length of both sections of fed. mall. This allowed me to return to my original aesthetic quality of having a skylight covered in water, a quality which I believe will make my building unique. The pools were located in the centre of federation mall and my station so as to maintain an axial view to parliament house through as much of building as possible. In order to cement my proposal as the secondary building on site I believe it is important to maintain this so people are constantly aware of the presence of Parliament House. Additional changes were removing one column from each of the internal sets of four, creating a more pleasing and varied pattern within my platform. Also, the columns along the side of my station were smoothed and curved into the roof to create the sense of a voluminous space, similar to that seen in St. Pancras station, London.
